How to get to the Alhambra de Granada by bus, by car or by walking

By car

By the Granada ring road, south round towards Alhambra. Next to the access to the monumental site and a few meters from the meeting point where our guided tour begins, there is a public car park open 24 hours a day. The address of the parking is Camino Viejo del Cementerio 18009 Granada. The current rate is € 1.7 per hour, but to confirm the rates the telephone number is 958 226 474.

Public transport

In taxi

In Granada you can take the taxi in the many stops that there are in the city or directly if it is free and circulating by stopping it by hand. In the monumental precinct there are two taxi stops:

Next to the Palace of Carlos V the stop is called "los palos"
Next to the ticket offices of the Alhambra the stop is called "the wicker"

The stop next to the ticket offices of the Alhambra "the wicker" is located a few meters from the meeting point of our guided tour.

In public bus

The urban bus line that will take you to the Alhambra is the C30. Its main stop is at Plaza Isabel la catholic and it reaches the stop next to the Alhambra ticket offices, right next to the meeting point of our guided tour. There is a bus every 4-5 minutes, but being small buses fill up immediately so we advise you to go with enough time.

There are different rates that we detail below, but both the ordinary ticket and the credibus are purchased directly on the bus.

Ordinary ticket € 1.40

Credibus € 5 ......... € 0.87 each trip

Credibus € 10 ....... € 0.85 each trip

Credibus € 20 ....... € 0.83 each trip

When acquiring the first time the credibus you have to pay a deposit of € 2, you can recharge as many times as you want and the bail you recover it by returning the card in good condition. You also have the right to transfer with other bus lines for 60 minutes.

Walking

The Alhambra is located in the heart of the city of Granada, but at the top of the hill of the Sabica. The distance from the center is only 1 kilometer, but the difference is important. The easiest and most direct climb is from Plaza Nueva through Cuesta Gomerez. This walk will allow you to enjoy the Bosque de la Alhambra, see the Puerta de las Granadas or the Puerta de Bib-Rambla.
